If you’ve heard the slogan “Timex takes a licking and keeps on ticking” then you’ve heard of Julian Koenig, a famous copywriter whose “Think Small” ad for Volkswagon was voted the number one campaign of all time in Advertising Age, 1999. Recently in June of this year Julian passed away at the age of 93 and the producers of the podcast This American Life re-aired an episode featuring his daughter who interviews him about his life in advertising and his accusations of his former partner stealing his ideas.
