A Graduate Student’s Brilliant Redesign of U.S. Currency Notes

Travis Purrington is an American designer who set out to redesign the U.S. currency notes as his master’s thesis for the Basel School of Design in Switzerland.

The unsolicited proposal celebrates the scientific achievements of Purrington’s home country by replacing the famous presidential busts with artwork critically acclaimed as “the sexiest, most fashion forward… on the planet”.

Although the prospects of seeing Purrington’s designs printed on official currency are slim to none given the historically unchanging nature of U.S. bills, a currency with more sex appeal is something we can really get behind.
